Dr Nikhil Kumar is an Australian trained ophthalmologist and a subspecialty fellowship trained refractive laser, cataract and cornea surgeon. He consults at Vision Clinic Sydney and Narellan Eye Specialists. Vision Clinic Sydney is a boutique cataract, laser and lens refractive and cornea practice located in the Sydney CBD. Narellan Eye Specialists is located in the southwest Macarthur region. He serves patients from the greater Sydney and regional NSW areas. 

Dr Kumar has over fifteen years of experience and has performed thousands of refractive procedures. He is thorough and meticulous in patient counselling, preparation for surgery, and in the delivery of optimal surgical outcomes. He is motivated to provide an exceptional level of high quality and quantity of vision to facilitate the freedom from correction that patients require in their daily lives. He strives to provide an excellent patient experience, to educate patients, and to dispel the myths surrounding laser corrective surgery.

Dr Kumar graduated in Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 1998 and earned a Master of Public Health from the University of New South Wales. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Sydney Eye Hospital. Thereafter, Dr Kumar was awarded the Sydney Eye Hospital Alumni Travelling Fellowship to pursue further training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Toronto in Canada. He has a Graduate Diploma in Refractive Surgery from the University of Sydney and received further refractive training in SMILE from the London Vision Clinic and the Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital in Bangalore. During his professional career he has served as subspecialist cornea surgeon at the Liverpool Public Hospital in southwestern Sydney. This entailed dealing with severe corneal disease and refractive surgical dilemmas and complications. He is a charter core group Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences.
